Guided by a passage written by the masterful Hilary Mantel (from her gobsmacking book, BRING UP THE BODIES,) you'll be guided and supported at every turn. It's a really fun and easy way to write a quick profile of yourself, someone else, or delve into some fiction!
WRITERS OF ALL GENRES AND LEVELS ARE WELCOME IN THIS CLASS!
Instead of lecturing you on craft or leaving you alone with an empty page, I chunk down great scenes from literature to guide your writing. I'm with you every step of the way, offering suggested frames through which you can throw your narrative. (You can follow my directions to the letter, or ignore me completely. My aim is simply to keep you writing.)
Even though my students have different levels of experience, we’ve all been human long enough to know just what a glorious mess this life is. That glorious mess is the source of all good writing. It’s just a matter of jumping in. Join us!
We'll gather Monday, April 7 from
8-9:30 p.m. EASTERN
7-8:30 p.m. CENTRAL
6-7:30 p.m. MOUNTAIN
and 5-6:30 p.m. PACIFIC
As soon as you register for this $30 offering, you'll get an email with links to our reading and the Zoom link.
I hope to see you there!
